Science 7 Homework Week of May 12, 2014
Monday: Second Semester Exam Study Tips
__ Use your Chapter tests as study guides.
Have a friend or family member call out the questions and answer them out loud. If you cannot readily answer a question, then highlight or write that question and answer down and use that as a study guide.
__ Re-read the Chapters and review any notes or guided reading we took from the book, powerpoints, or class discussions.
__ Create flashcards with key words and important concepts,
__ Create a “concept map” or “web” and write everything you know about that chapter.
The Semester Exam will include the following information:
__ Life Science:
Human Body Systems: this will include parts of Chapter 14, but mainly the powerpoints and notes we took in class. Use your Unit as your guide, especially the quizzes and test.
__ Earth Science:
The Rock Cycle: use your unit as your guide, especially the quizzes and test.
__ Life Science:
The Principles of Genetics: this will include Chapter 5, as well as powerpoints, guided notes, and websites we used. Use your unit as your guide, especially the quizzes and test.

Electromagnetic Spectrum Diagram (20 points possible)
Draw and label the Electromagnetic Spectrum.
Include the following in your drawing:
_ Radio waves, Microwaves, Infrared rays, Visible light Ultraviolet rays, X-rays, and Gamma rays
_ show the length of the wave and label longest and shortest
_ indicate which waves would be higher frequency and which ones would be lower frequency
_ indicate which waves would high higher energy and which waves would have lower energy.
_ illustrate the Visible light with color
_ draw (or use cut out pictures) and label an example of a use for each type of wave
_ Pages 578-579 and 584-585 in your book are a good guide.
_ you can also look at images on the internet.
